This is a test of FlatPress’s new plug-in for XML-RPC. Basically what that means is, is that I can open up a program like Windows Live Writer, write a post, like this one, and then post it on the site. Without even having to log in to it.
Back to topSite Maitenance
I had to do some maintenance on the site. I’ll be re uploading everything in a few hours. But right now I need sleep.
All posts, pages, files, and plug ins will be re uploaded, as well as the theme.
I’ll explain later.
Update: Okay, here’s the quick explanation of why the site was down was down and some of the content was missing. What happened was, I forgot my FlatPress log in details. Anyway, I was able to back up everything, then get it reinstalled. Everything is back up. I need to fix a few links, but that should be done in a few minutes.
Back to topI need to update more
I know, I know. I’ve been neglecting the site, but I plan to change that… I hope lol. Seriously though, I wan’t to make this site more active again. However, I’ve been waiting on this new CMS my friend ben is making, it’s called Max.Blog. It’s extremely simple to use, much more simpler than Joomla. However, it requires a database to store all the stuff on. So, I asked him about a flat file version. He said he’d get on that as soon as 2.0 is done, and release a flatfile version of 2.0.
I wonder if he’ll make a converter from Flatpress to Max.blog?
Back to topMerry Christmas
Or as one of my friends from camp would say ‘Happy Birth of Santa Day!’. Anyway, I just wanted to wish every one a happy holidays. Also I updated the skin, if you haven’t noticed already. I had to take down the guest book because some asshole deleted everyone’s entries. I’m looking for a new one, that way people can sign it again, but won’t let anyone delete everyone’s entries.
Back to topNews Archive Moved Over
Well, the News Archive is moved Over. If you want to look thorugh it, but ignore most of it because Most of it is now out of date
If you see:
Migrated from Old Site
Ignore that. That was from the News Archive.
Also I Added the validation Page Results to the Sidebar, that way its on every page.
Back to topNew And Old Things Colide
Just as the Title States New Things on the Site merge with Old Ones. One of the most obvious ones is the new Site layout, now its like my blog, a Flatpress Site. Much easier to manage in my Opinion.
Some of the stufff that remains the same is that the site is still Valid Across the Spectrum, (XHTML, CSS, and RSS Valid, (Look to your right)).
Some of the old stuff finding its way to the new site, is the Games Section, still have to code that part, but it shouldn’t be too hard. The Slideshow, but I need a new way to do that, that should be done in the next day or two. The guestbook as well, it has some glitches, but it is finding its way onto the site.
The stuff I plan to migrate over here sometime soon, not sure when exactly, are the Random Software I link the Random Sh!t secton, and The News Section. Those will be migrated by the end of the year.
Back to topMajor Site Update
As I said in my blog a few months ago, I would be migrating stuff from my previous layout to the one I have now where. I’m still in the middle of Trnasfering, but it Will Get Done.
